TOURIST STUFF

Taking a day or so to play tourist is always more fun than heading straight home. Melbourne has heaps to do. Book your airfare now and figure it out later!

We've got the FCA  'stay another day' program on the Friday, the day after the conference. There are industry open house visits where our hosts will take you on tours or we've organised a professional tour guide for a 2.5 hour walking tour with others from the conference. Book when you register for the conference.

Travel around Melbourne  by public transport, on foot, or hire a bicycle to discover why the city is known for food, wine and coffee. Trams in the CBD are free. The botanical gardens are a 7 minute tram ride away. Hop over to Federation Square and watch the rowers along the Yarra River.

Magic in Melbourne happens in the inner-suburbs. Visit St Kilda beach or Acland and Fitzroy Streets—a colourful, gritty place with live music and great food.

There’s the famous

Sunday Esplanade market or you could quietly spy on the shy fairy penguins at  sunset under the pier. The cafe at the end of the pier is a great place for fish and chips.

And we almost forgot. There’s a game known as  ‘footy’ that some of you might be interested in.
