Plenary program is LIVE

Hi everyone, 


We’re pleased to share the plenary program for the 2026 Financial Counselling Australia Conference, taking place in Cairns on 7 and 8 May, with pre-conference events on 5 and 6 May. 


Below are a few program highlights:


  • Opening keynote from ASIC Chair Joe Longo on the regulatory landscape and the financial pressures facing Australians.  

  • Tipping point stories from frontline financial counsellors, reflecting on moments of significant change for clients. 

  • Spot Talks featuring seven short presentations on the theme Ready, Set, Go.  

  • Address from Tax Ombudsman Ruth Owen on hardship issues in the tax system.

Accommodation 


Cairns is a busy destination in May. We have arranged room blocks through an external booking provider. You can access the accommodation booking portal through the conference website.
